Array City

Welcome to Array City!

Students have been learning that multiplication can be represented in a variety of ways. One way to model multiplication is with arrays. An array is an an arrangement of objects in rows and columns.

Our buildings have windows aglow in a winter's night skyline.

Arrays are everywhere!

Strandbeest!

What a fascinating experience for the third graders! Theo Jansen's Strandbeests were amazing to see in person at the Peabody Essex Museum. Thank you to our chaperones for joining us!

Learn more about Strandbeest here.

Your child brought home a special pass that will get two adults into the museum for free. Children 16 and under are free as well! The exhibit is showing until the end of January. Don't miss it!

Busy creating in the Maker's Lounge.

Collaborative Learning

As we enter into second term, student are learning to collaborate with their classmates in order to create class presentations.  They have been learning to work as a team, listen to one another's ideas, and share information in a clear and organized way.

There are many ways for students to show what they have learned!

Water Cycle Projects

Students have been hard at work creating digital books all about the water cycle.
The water cycle is essential to climate and weather patterns.

Our class is starting to think like meteorologists!

Each student created a diagram, showing each step in the water cycle.

Mrs. Kosakowski joined us to introduce the Drawing Pad and Book Creator Apps.

Students are using the diagrams to create a digital book about the water cycle.

We are looking forward to sharing the final projects with you soon!
